The onset of fall leading to winter presents us with a wonderful time to reflect and revive. Images of relaxing by warm fires, cradling a hot beverage with both hands and our favorite comfy sweater all invoke that radiant feeling we enjoy before the hectic holiday season.

The Spa offers many services that encourage this blissful state of mind year-round, but this season we'd like to suggest you try something a little different. Our Warm Stone Massage and Paraffin Hand Treatment are two luxurious ways to bathe yourself in the warmth of winter while nourishing dehydrated skin and reviving tired bodies.

The Warm Stone Massage
The method of using warm stones in massage has been around for a very long time - some say even before written history. This exotic treatment involves the placement of warm, smooth basalt stones on key pressure and chakra points of the body while your receive a massage. This creates harmony and a positive energy flow. Sometimes the therapist will use the stones as a tool for massage, gliding them over the muscles. Tensions diminish, and stress melts away. The heat within the stones penetrates your muscles to provide you with a deeply relaxing, exceptional experience. The benefit to you? Muscle tension relief, mental grounding and spiritual well-being.

Paraffin Treatments for Hands
Hands can bear the brunt of dry winter weather as they're constantly exposed to harsh conditions both indoors and out. They can look parched and tired while feeling achey. Our Paraffin Treatment helps relieve your weather-weary hands, both inside and out.

This add-on treatment begins with a hand massage using a rich moisturizer. After which, a unique single-use "glove" fully engulfs your hands. The warm paraffin (that is in the glove) creates the perfect environment for deep penetration of the mineral-based moisturizer. After about ten minutes, the glove is removed and the paraffin is rubbed away, taking with it old skin layers. The result is well-nourished, soft smooth skin that is beautifully toned!
